The Gallery at L.E. Shore in Thornbury is a lovely, vaulted exhibition space that hosts monthly exhibits by both individuals and groups within the community. App Takes You Inside The Museum

Do you miss standing in front of a masterpiece?  It's time to get your museum fix on Google Arts & Culture, featuring thousands of images from more than 1,200 museums globally.  You can visit Google Arts & Culture as a website on your laptop or desktop but the project is at its immersive best when engaged via the Google Arts & Culture app, which you can download for free on your smartphone or tablet.   Images are accompanied by explanatory text and can transport you visually into a piece of art. Some virtual exhibits not to be missed on the platform are: Van Gogh Museum, Amsterdam, Uffizi Galleries, Florence, Guggenheim Bilbao Museum, Smithsonian American Art Museum, Washington, Museo Frida Kahlo, Mexico City.

Treat yourself to a video studio tour presented by the Loch Gallery, Toronto, Winnipeg, Calgary, featuring the renowned painter, Philip Craig. The Craig family art gallery opened in Meaford in 2019. The link to the site is www.lochgallery.com. When you open that site click on “Established Living Contemporary” in the banner and the Philip Craig Studio tour will come up. Also showing at the Loch Galleries and in Meaford is Philip’s daughter, Shannan Craig Morphew, also under Established Living Contemporary. Also check out the Craig Gallery at www.craiggallery.ca.

Mr. Gates Inspires On Netflix

Are you in need of an inspirational timely documentary? If so, Netflix is streaming a compact three part autobiographical series exploring the current projects being undertaken by Bill Gates. The interview style film provides insight and depth into the mindset and actions of the visionary best known for his entrepreneurial Microsoft successes. Going well beyond computers, in this series, the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation strives to solve some of the world's most daunting problems. The program explores themes of risk and leadership in a crisp and motivating manner. A must see for those open to global issues and critical thinking. Group of Seven Turns 100

The Group of Seven first showed one hundred years ago on May 7, 1920. Today, their art can be seen at the McMichael Canadian Art Collection. A live online experience will be available to mark the anniversary on Thursday, May 7th at 2:00pm. Registration is required through the McMichael Gallery.
